  2. Hey David, remember the upticking DROdio Realty 'home value clock' that showed how much money you were losing out on each hour by not buying a home?

And remember how you pointed out that the clock showed prices climbing even though in reality prices were falling? And that they took it down and said on their website that they would 'recalibrate' it very shortly?

Its been a couple of months now and for some strange reason (falling prices), they still haven't recalibrated it.

Now you'd think that since that clock was such a valuable tool for prospective buyers, that they'd hurry up and update it based on today's declining prices to show how much money you'd lose by purchasing in a declining market, right? After all, they look out for the best interests of their buyers, right?

I guess DROdio doesn't really care about their customers after all.

John, sorry, but you sound soooo naive in saying this. How old are you? Do you know what the words "caveat emptor" mean? Do you expect everyone to be out there looking out for your well being? Ever heard of taking responsibility for one's own actions? Sorry, but you asked for this. When's the last time you went into a mall and saw signs saying "Don't buy here!"? Please ... why would you expect real estate salesmen to do the equivalent? Get real.

  4. Lance, sorry, but you sound soooo naive in saying this. How old are you? Do you know what the words "ethical business practices" mean? Have you heard of racketeering, discrimination, price fixing, or monopolies? What about liability and disclosure?

Yes you have a point with caveat emptor and due diligence is to be lauded. However the playing field should still be level. What you suggest is tantamount to defending and tolerating blatant lying, fear tactics, and omissions.

    My $0.02.

  5. Lance - you might have missed the sarcasm in my post. Of course i don't expect realtors to act ethically in accordance with their "Code of Ethics."
