Yesterday was biggest stock percentage gain since Great Depression

Yesterday wasn't just the biggest single-day point gain ever for the S&P 500, it was also the biggest single-day percentage gain since the Great Depression. (Perhaps the market was really happy about Paul Krugman winning the Nobel Prize.)

Eight of the biggest single day percentage gains since 1928 were during the Great Depression:
