  1. You obviously have a hard-on for DL.

  2. You mean, that's the value if you believe Zillow. Hasn't Zillow been underestimating declines, or have they fixed that?

  3. Yep, zillow is way off for the bubble markets -- it might be like a year behind the curve. I think you can still trust it for markets that never had a bubble though.

Although I have mentioned David Lereah in passing occasionally, including some references to David Jackson's other blog, yesterday's post was the first one of mine that has actually had Lereah as the topic of the post. However, Lereah and Yun have both helped scam millions of Americans out of their life savings. They deserve no more of a reprieve than Bernard Madoff.

  5. What? He only suffered about a 16% decline from peak!

  6. When did he buy the home. If the paid clown purchased it in the last three years, then he really is as stupid as his previous claims. The WSJ article sealed the paid shill's reputation in the field of economics. His consulting company will serve those who do not truly know of his incompetence.

  7. I think the fact that NAR let him out to dry is indicative of their culture. NAR had no use for him in a market that was heading south. Yun is the new mouthpiece for all of the reasons why someone should purchase a home. No economist worth their salt would take that job. The position is the equivalent of working as a used car salesman selling Hummers.

According to Zillow, David Lereah bought his home on January 15, 2002 for $570,000. He pays $6,649 per year in taxes for his home. The house has 5 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, 9 rooms total (not including bathrooms obviously), is 3,068 sqft, sits on a 0.66 acre lot, and was built in 1983.

Then, by extension, you deserve national recognization and monetary rewards for "saving" people from the Madoffs of the world.

  10. OMG!

Blood in the streets! DL paid 570K 7yrs ago and now his house is worth what? $700k - 850K? I sure would be crying. That money would have been so much better deployed in the stock market.

    Got popcorn?
